Choirs 1. CONTEMPORARY FOLK BAND Our talents are to be used for the glory of God. Our choir strives to provide beautiful, meaningful music to enhance the celebration of the Mass. We want to make the Mass (or whatever celebration in which we are involved) more meaningful to the whole parish community by the total involvement of the congregation using song as a means of prayer. We practice once a month. We develop wonderful friendships and are motivated by our style of music, which mainly uses guitars, keyboard, drums and other musical instruments. Any interested person in grade seven or older who enjoys singing and is committed is most welcome. 2. TRADITIONAL ITALIAN CHOIR The St. Mary’s Italian Choir assists the congregation in the singing of hymns, psalms, acclamations and sacred songs at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Eucharist and all major Italian feasts of the Church year. The choirs’ mandate for our parish is to strive to make all our Italian celebrations and liturgies prayerful. All interested persons are invited to sing in this choir. Suggested ages: 15 and up. |
